Greetings to all. Bless the Lord because He’s good. How good? He provides for us with bread, shelter, food and He protects and safeguards us. We are able to go through another day with all that He gave us. All it takes is one moment, or one second rather, for our lives to change. If we lose something like a foot God forbid, all the days after that one moment will be different. We must not over look these things and we must bless the Lord for everything that we take for granted. Today’s scripture is from Hebrews:
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5
Paul instructs us to speak without coveting anything and be content with what we have. Want can never be satisfied, because when we get what we want, we would tend to loose interest in it and turn to something else. We then become craven and wasteful, trying to satisfy the wants, which is like trying to put out fire with wood. The wants can the escalate to envy and stealing because sin is progressive. We must be content with what the Lord provided for us, because if we keep over looking what we have, they will be taken away and then we would realize then how much we are blessed.
The Lord Jesus knows our needs and our desires. He will fulfill them in due season when we ask and trust in Him. As a loving parent will not leave their children to suffer need, so will the Lord not leave us nor forsake us.
