Faint Not!

Many people are going through rough times, but your losing faith, hope and trust in Jesus isn’t the answer. Recall Joseph who was falsely accused and thrown in prison for 2 years, or Job who lost all the possessions he had, his family and  had boils from head to toe? Even David when he was running for his life from Saul and hiding in a cave, as well as Elijah who was running from Jezebel. Can’t forget Peter who was struck with fear when he was walking on water and began to sank.

These men and more were men of God and what  did the do? Did they give up? Did they say I’m going to try my best and do what I can? No they put it all in Gods hands why? Because ( …for the battle is not yours, but God’s. 2 Chronicles 20:15) and as it is written: (I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5), what else doth the scriptures say? (Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7).

These men endured to the end while not seeing the end result of their sufferings but believing in Him that will do what he said, (Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24). For they had a strong belief in he who is called Faithful and True, in the God of Jacob who cannot lie(Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Hebrews 6:17-18) and they trusted in his words;(It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. 2 Timothy 2:11-13).

The God of Jacob must purify his vessels by refining them in the furnace as it is written:(Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2). And let us not forget these words; (For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Hebrews 12:6-8) This scripture also justifies the previous scripture: (He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. Proverbs 13:24)

So please don’t be discouraged when you are tried or tempted, call on the Lord because it is impossible for you to do it on your own. Just think of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego who were thrown in the furnace for standing up and believing in their God(O what faith!), for the Lord didn’t reduce the heat of the furnace but he was in the furnace with them protecting and strengthening them. (Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed Hebrews 12:12-13).

If some don’t believe, does it make the truth void? For it is as a man that says, there is no wind, will it stop the wind from blowing? Or a man that says, there is no sun, will it stop the sun from rising? Keep your hope, for even if some say that it is useless. Just remember the sun, for even though it is night and the sun is not visible, it is an inevitability that it’ll rise in the morning. (For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5) So please believe in the Lord when he saith, And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8

Amen and Amen.
