Do it right!

Jeremiah 7:9,10:
9. Will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not; 10. And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?” {read scripture here}

Let’s make it plain. We cannot live a life that is not in the accord and will of God and think that because we attend church on Sabbaths somehow this makes us right in the eyes of the Lord. Are you serving other gods during the week (a slave to money, a slave to worldly things, caught up in things not of the Lord), but then when the Sabbath rolls around somehow the Christ-Like garment appears, cry out unto God with a loud cry seeking His forgiveness, but the very next day go back into serving false gods??

See the problem with this picture? We can not allow ourselves to be toiled and stained by the devil, we all need to daily seek Christ. Start with praying more, and reading His words more. Yes for some of us, it truly is no easy task, because truth be told we are so far gone in our depths of sin and void that the light gleaming over on the other side seems all but so far away, when in truth..it’s just that we need to open our eyes and little more and let it shine in on us.

The devil is relishing in all of this folly. When we especially as Christians continue to dwell in the house of God and give Him praises with our lips, and then turn around and live like the world does, and worst never utter praises to God in the presence of others. It’s a sad reality. And like it is said in Jeremiah, God isn’t going to hold you lightly. Step out and separate ourselves from the foolishness.

Challenge for ourselves: If you are a newborn Christian, just learning to truly accept Christ as your saviour, pray that He will guard your heart and your words that it may only always give Him praise. If you’re already closely connected to Christ in that you live the way He demands, pray that you will continue to only live by God’s control. Pray that for those who seek the face of Christ that the devil will never get a strong-hold of them. If you know you are stuck in a rut, doing Christ today and then the devil tomorrow..please pray that God will remove the devil’s strong hold of you, that you won’t continue to be accused of double living in the eyes of Christ, not man, but Christ’s alone. Whatever it is we all need to change, be it how we act, speak, think, what we see, or hear. What we do, where we go..pray in sincerity that God can stir up in a mighty way in our lives to make that change and make it happen now.

So think about it, act on it! And be blessed. 🙂
