Greetings to all. Bless the Lord for all He’s done. He is always good, now and forevermore. The Lord is mighty to save and deliver us from any difficult or oppressive situation when we trust in Him. It may not be on our time, but it will surely be on perfect timing because the Lord is perfect in all His ways(Matthew 5:48). Today’s scripture is from Matthew:
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44
We are suppose to do good to those who have made themselves our enemies by loving them. This is one of the most difficult text to swallow. This means even loving those who lie on us, wickedly use us, speak down to us, curse us and prosecute us. We must swallow our pride, forgive and love them, rendering good for evil. For if we repay them with evil, we would be no different than them and the hateful cycle would be perpetual, making the Devil well pleased. But we must follow the steps of Jesus Christ (who did the greatest good towards His enemies and died for us Romans 5:8) and do good to our enemies. It is impossible for man to this on his own (Romans 7:14-15) but if we give our lives wholly to Christ and come into subjection to His will, these things can be accomplished (Philippians 4:13).
